Description
The Wāvtech link2 2-Channel LOC is a compact line output converter built for tight installs and OEM-style systems, delivering two clean, low-impedance outputs from speaker-level signals. Its extremely small footprint and detachable mounting tabs fit behind dashboards or in consoles while preserving OEM load-detect compatibility.
- 2-Channel Line Output Converter (LOC): Provides two low-impedance outputs to feed external amplifiers from a factory or aftermarket signal source.
- Differential Balanced Inputs: Enhances noise rejection in the automotive environment by using balanced input signaling.
- Low Impedance Outputs: <50Ω output impedance helps preserve signal integrity when driving amplifiers.
- Output Voltage (Max): >10Vrms available to upstream amps, delivering generous headroom for clean, dynamic sound.
- Input Sensitivity: 2-20Vrms, 4-40Vrms; Max Input Voltage 40Vrms — accommodates a wide range of factory and high-level signals without clipping.
- Frequency Response: <10 Hz to >100 kHz — wide bandwidth ensures faithful reproduction across bass to high-frequency content.
- THD+N SPK: <0.01% — very low distortion at output.
- S/N SPK: >110dBA — high signal-to-noise ratio for clean audio.
- Turn-On Trigger: +12V, DC-offset & Audio Detect — auto-turn-on methods simplify integration with different head units.
- Generated +12V Output: >500mA remote output capability for powering other devices in the system.
- OEM Load Detect Compatible: Maintains proper operation with factory systems that require specific load behavior.
- Locking Detachable Power/Speaker Terminals: Secure, vibration-resistant connections and easy removal for servicing or routing.
- Professional Grade Panel Mount RCAs: Durable, reliable signal connections for installations.
- Compact Aluminum Chassis w/ Detachable Mounting Tabs: Sturdy yet small enclosure designed for tight, professional installations.
- Chassis Dimensions: 1.1” x 2.9” x 2.5” (29x75x63 mm) — distinctly compact footprint for automotive dashboards and enclosures.
In a real-world build, link2 sits between a factory or aftermarket head unit and a two-channel amplifier, delivering clean, high-headroom line-level signals to drive multi-channel setups without introducing noise or distortion. Its gain-adjustment with clip LEDs lets you dial in matching levels precisely, while auto-turn-on and the +12V remote output simplify wiring and system expansion. The combination of OEM load-detect compatibility, locking terminals, and a compact chassis makes it ideal for discreet, reliable installations where space is at a premium.
