DC Audio XL SPL 12" Subwoofers are hand-built in the USA and designed for extreme SPL builds with durable, high-power performance in a purpose-built 12-inch driver family.

• Power handling: 2200W RMS / 4400W peak, delivering substantial headroom for high-power amplifiers without clipping when the system demands deep, loud bass.
• 12" size and mounting measurements: Outside diameter 12.5", mounting depth 9", mounting hole diameter 11" (fits common 12" enclosure designs and provides a solid mounting footprint).
• Voice coil: 8-layer flat-wound hi-temp aluminum voice coil with a 3.0" diameter, enabling high excursion and improved heat tolerance for sustained output.
• Cone and surround: Extremely rigid non-pressed paper cone assembly with a multilayered polymer foam surround for controlled excursion and reliable damping.
• Magnet/frame and hardware: Large magnets with a cast aluminum black frame, rubber mounting gasket, rubber motor boot, and chrome spring-loaded push terminals for rugged, repeatable mounting and connection.
• Motor engineering: FEA-analzyed and optimized motor assembly with a fully CNC-machined body and motor boot for precise alignment and consistent performance.
• Electrical/ mechanical specs: Re 3.98 Ohm, Le 5.2 mH, Qms 12.92, Qes 0.403, Qts 0.391, Xmax 26 mm, Ref SPL @ 1W 87.5 dB (12" variant), detailing a balanced, workable electrical and excursion profile.
• Box guidance: Sealed box around 1.0 ft³ or ported around 1.5 ft³ for the 12" version, offering flexible tuning options to suit space and target bass response.
• Build and availability: Hand built in the USA with a 7–14 day build time, part of the XL SPL family available in 10", 12", 15", and 18" sizes.
