• Power Handling: 4500 Watts RMS / 9000 Watts Peak. In real terms, this driver is built to accept serious continuous and burst power when paired with a capable amplifier, delivering substantial headroom and deep bass without immediate thermal compression.
• Voice Coil & Leads: 4.0" aluminum voice coil on a black anodized aluminum former with 8 AWG OFC direct leads. The 8-layer hi-temp aluminum winding supports high current and robust thermal handling for sustained bass under demanding conditions.
• Construction & Frame: Cast DC Series aluminum black frame with rubber mounting gasket and a dedicated motor boot with embossed DC Audio and LV6 logos. Built to resist harsh in-vehicle environments while maintaining precise alignment under heavy excursion.
• Suspension & Cone: Kraft pulp fiber reinforced cone with a wide long-throw foam surround and a dome polypropylene dust cover. The combination is aimed at high excursion control and durable, low-distortion motion at extreme fills.
• Motor & Alignment: FEA- analyzed and optimized motor assembly with a full CNC-machined structure, extended pole and more rearward coil clearance. These features support linear motion and reduce coil rub at high excursions.
