In a real car build, the XL-1240TD excels behind a rear panel or under a seat where space is at a premium. The shallow mounting depth and 11" cutout diameter enable a true 12" woofer to fit in tight cavities, while the 400W RMS rating provides needed headroom for a punchy, controlled bass presence. The dual voice-coil design offers wiring flexibility, and the injection-molded flat cone with a turbine-style basket yields rigid, low-distortion performance across the 33 Hz–450 Hz range.
